The story is built in Maya using simplified 3D meshes and rigs, with lighting designed by hand. Each scene was rendered in real-time in the mobile browser, which required us creating a custom process to transfer animations from MAYA to WebGL. We used OpenCOLLADA to export cameras, lighting and geometry for WebGL and the Three.js OBJ exporter for characters with skeletal systems.
